            It is recorded in our database and evaluated for the best match(s) between

            your skills and the listed requirements of our client companies.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

How can I be sure you will not contact my current employer?

            Strict confidentiality exists between applicant and agency.  We have never

            made an exception to this policy.

 

 

 

 

  

How secure is my resume when sent via email?

            The email is encrypted between agency and applicant.  No other party

            can intercept the transmission either way.

 

 

 

 

 

What help is there to improve my resume if you detect a major flaw?

            This is a part of our personal service.  We can communicate via email

            until we work together to get it right.

 

 

 

 

 

What is the charge for this service?

            There is no charge for minor revisions.  Should a resume require a major

            overhaul, we will recommend your contacting a custom resume service.

 

 

 

 

 

How long will you keep my resume on file?

            As long as you wish us to make a search on your behalf, or until time

            deadlines intervene that you are interested in pursuing.

 

 

 

 

 

What is your recommendation on resume length – one page, or more?

            For years of experience and several major positions, a two page resume

            is realistic.  Minimize positions that date back more than 10 years.  Usually,

            employers are mainly interested in recent experience, state-of-the-art skills

            and experience.

 

 

 

 

 

How can I best capture an employer’s attention?

            Be creative – by using action words, highlighting duties and achievements,

paying attention to detail, such as dates, statistics with regard to employment time frames.

 

 

 

 

 

What can contribute to an attention getting resume?

            Use bullets, headlines and bold face to make information stand out.

            Avoid hard to read script fonts.  Make it easy for the flow of words to

            be easily understood.

 

 

 

 

What are unacceptable on my resume?

            There is no excuse for typos and misspelling.  That’s what spell check is for

            on a computer.  We have no time to grade your paper on these points.

 

 

 

 

 

Should I include references?

            Save them until requested.  You should definitely have them available at

            the interview.

 

 

 

 

 

What is the overriding purpose in constructing an effective resume?

            It is to sell yourself so that a resume screener will conclude “this is one

            person we must include in our selection process.”
